Newsroom / Annual Report «

I am honored to present Survivors of Torture, International's annual report of our activities from October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2011. We are proud of the progress we have made together with you toward building a healing community for survivors of torture.

During this past year, through medical, psychological, dental and social services, Survivors of Torture, International helped 261 more torture survivors rebuild their lives. Also, we trained no fewer than 1,000 community service providers and university students in how to identify, refer and serve survivors. Furthermore, on June 26, we led a campaign in Sacramento to bring statewide attention to the prevalence of torture in the world, to the unique challenges that torture survivors face in California and the importance of specialized care in our local communities.

These successes were possible only through the generous support of caring organizations, companies and individuals, like you. We are grateful for the help you provide in creating a safe haven for vulnerable torture survivors and improving the lives of survivors of torture who live among us.

(If you would like a hard copy of the annual report, please contact us and we'd be happy to send you one).

Sincerely,

Kathi Anderson
