Educate

By educating professional groups and the general public about the effects of torture, SURVIVORS hopes to eliminate the obstacles that prevent torture survivors from receiving the services they need.

“Here, we see the actual human consequences of the stories which sometimes seem impersonal in the news. It’s satisfying to help them to be able to stay where they are safe and can rebuild their lives.”

- Dr. George Longstreth, a volunteer physician.
