International Day in Support of Victims of Torture
Torture is a worldwide plague that often remains hidden from society, despite the long lasting physical and psychological effects on individuals and their families. We need you to help us raise awareness about torture and the importance of providing a safe haven for survivors of torture from all over the world. June 26 marks the anniversary of June 26, 1987, the day the United Nations Convention against Torture and other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment entered force.
