Your recurring gift will make an ongoing impact on SURVIVORS’ operations for as long as you decide to support our mission. As a member of the “Healing Trust”, your monthly or quarterly electronic donation can be changed or suspended at any time – there is no pledge or time-commitment – that is all up to you.

As always, donating electronically saves SURVIVORS processing time and expenses and we appreciate all our Healing Trust members’ passion for the SURVIVORS’ mission to create a Welcoming Community for survivors of torture.

“I joined the healing trust because it makes giving completely effortless. I believe that no one can be truly well and safe unless everyone is well and safe. We know that the after effects of torture and persecution, if not addressed, reverberate down the generations and into society at large. Survivors works to break the cycle so that our community can move forward together with hope and healing. This is long-term work and it needs long-term support. SURVIVORS can provide specialized care and support to empower you in your healing journey to become a self-sufficient and healthy member of your family and community. We are able to offer services to torture survivors and their families free of charge. Professional interpretation is available.

SURVIVORS provides tailored individual, group, family, and couples therapy with licensed and licensed eligible mental health professionals throughout San Diego County.

MEDICAL SERVICES

SURVIVORS’ provides support for Survivors with medical needs like finding a physician for general health care or connecting with a vision provider to receive glasses.

SURVIVORS’ psychiatric services include a thorough evaluation of clients and regular follow-ups by a psychiatrist.

SOCIAL and PEER SUPPORT

SURVIVORS offers Healing Clubs to help counter torture survivor’s feelings of shame, humiliation, and isolation. Activities have included art projects and nature walks.

FORENSIC EVALUATIONS

SURVIVORS coordinates medical affidavits and psychological evaluations to support our client’s asylum cases. Medical and psychological evaluations are conducted by trained professional evaluators.
