SURVIVORS has a proud 26-year legacy of Healing, Educating and Advocating for torture survivors and in 2023, we move into the next chapter of our history of taking care of the most vulnerable as they join our community. Seen below, SURVIVORS’s own Change Makers – founders the late George Falk, Kathi Anderson, and Bill Radatz met at our June 2022 Ice Cream Social. As SURVIVORS strives to expands services and staffing to keep up with the changing needs of our clients, we are seeking a new generation of Change Makers to push us forward.

To do this we have named our 2023 fundraising campaign, Honoring Our Legacy, Paving Our Future. There are also many alternative ways to give, by making a major gift (one-time or pledged over 5 years), or others such as donating appreciated stock, real estate, or even a used car. SURVIVORS provides tailored individual, group, family, and couples therapy with licensed and licensed eligible mental health professionals throughout San Diego County.

MEDICAL SERVICES

SURVIVORS’ provides support for Survivors with medical needs like finding a physician for general health care or connecting with a vision provider to receive glasses.

SURVIVORS offers Healing Clubs to help counter torture survivor’s feelings of shame, humiliation, and isolation. Activities have included art projects and nature walks.

FORENSIC EVALUATIONS

SURVIVORS coordinates medical affidavits and psychological evaluations to support our client’s asylum cases. Medical and psychological evaluations are conducted by trained professional evaluators.
